It is a big challenge in case you have a loved one suffering from one of the clinically diagnosed disorder. The nature of the disease, the lack of available resources, the lack of understanding among the society and hence the stigma and discrimination are a few to name ! I have been facing the challenge, having a loved one struggling with one of the clinical mental disorders, so out of mixed moments of despair, hopelessness and hope this is an attempt to come up with an exhaustive but reliable resource list for the mental health care in India. Prepaid taxi and bus services are available from the airport to NIMHANS.
Probably the best bet you have in India as far as mental health services are concerned.
